Introducing an Exhilarating New "Outlaw" Format Allowing Racers to Utilize Engines and Parts Sourced from Direct Connection

The highly anticipated #Dodge #DirectConnection Grudge Race returns for the fifth year, igniting excitement at MotorTrend Presents #RoadkillNights Powered by Dodge. This year introduces an innovative “Outlaw” format for the drag race, where online automotive builders will compete head-to-head using engines and components from Direct Connection. The Grudge Race embodies a vibrant energy and a true do-it-yourself ethos, as competitors harness the power of a Direct Connection HurriCrate engine, derived from the high-performance 3.0L Hurricane Twin Turbo engine, paired with a TorqueFlite8-DC1 transmission. This setup allows participants to transform any vehicle into a formidable race car, with no restrictions on using parts from other manufacturers, fostering creativity and innovation on the track.

Introducing this year's Grudge Race Competitors:

Morgan Evans

Defending Grudge Race champion Evans has deep roots in the racing world, having spent her formative years at the track and in the workshop. As a metal artist, a lover of rusty trucks, and a content creator, Evans is determined to reclaim her title with her 1987 Dodge D150 truck.

John O'Malley

O’Malley, a natural-born racer with a background in professional motocross and snowcross, operates @BoostedMotorsports and has gained a reputation for installing SRT Hellcat engines in various vehicles. He's chosen to race a 2000 Dodge Viper at Roadkill Nights - sure to spark a reaction among Viper purists.

   Deshown "boosedluckey" Luckey

At 26 years old, automotive enthusiast Deshown Luckey, aka boostedluckey, is a content creator and a dedicated family man. He'll be the fella piloting a Direct Connection-modified 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Hooligan Brothers

Hooligan Brothers, hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, are a lively crew of four speed enthusiasts who thrive on all things fast, sideways, or airborne. They've elected a 1991 Ford Mustang as their weapon of choice. And you thought Mustang fans had something to say about LS swaps.

Garrett Dobbs

Dobbs is all about the thrill of the drag strip. He takes pride in being the owner, mechanic, and racer of a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, pouring his heart and soul into every aspect of racing. He’s more than ready to hit the track, competing in a 2005 Dodge Magnum.

Demi Bagby

24-year-old Bagby is a passionate athlete with a strong interest in sports, fitness, racing, and philanthropy. Over the years, her enthusiasm for everything automotive has grown immensely. Showcasing her love for racing and the thrill of the track, she's ready to rock in a 1987 Grand National. Fans can dive into the action by following each racer's social media channels, where they can witness the thrilling chaos of custom ride building at DodgeGarage.com. It's like watching a high-stakes cooking show, but instead of soufflés, it's all about horsepower, and the only thing getting burned is the rubber on the track!
