MotorTrend and Dodge are firing up street-legal drag racing, drift rides, grudge matches, car culture, and full-throttle fan fun on August 8, 2026.

Start your engines, clear your calendar, and maybe warn your eardrums: Roadkill Nights Back for 11th Year is officially set to return Saturday, August 8, 2026, bringing one of Metro Detroit’s loudest and most beloved automotive spectacles back to M1 Concourse and the legendary Woodward Avenue.

What began in 2015 as a rowdy, grassroots-style celebration of horsepower has grown into a summer staple for muscle car fans, Dodge loyalists, drag racing diehards, and anyone who believes tire smoke should qualify as a weather pattern. This year’s event promises another high-octane mix of street-legal drag racing, Dodge performance experiences, celebrity appearances, classic and modern muscle cars, food, music, and enough V8-adjacent enthusiasm to make a parking lot feel like a national holiday.

At the center of the action is the rare chance to see street-legal drag racing take over Woodward Avenue, the spiritual home of American cruising culture. For car fans, that’s not just a location. That’s sacred asphalt.

The 2026 edition will once again pair MotorTrend’s enthusiast energy with Dodge’s muscle-car swagger, turning Pontiac into a rolling, roaring playground for performance fans. Attendees can expect Dodge Charger Thrill and Drift Rides featuring SIXPACK gasoline-powered Dodge Charger muscle cars, giving fans a seat-of-the-pants reminder that “practical transportation” is not exactly the point.

The event lineup also includes the Dodge Charger Grudge Race, exhibition runs, vehicle displays, a vendor midway, musical entertainment, food trucks, and appearances from familiar faces in the automotive world. Dodge will also showcase vehicles from its current lineup, including the all-new Dodge Charger family and HEMI-powered Dodge Durango models.

For those who prefer their horsepower parked and polished, the car show will feature a mix of classic and modern muscle vehicles. Expect chrome, carbon fiber, custom paint, proud owners, and at least a few people explaining engine specs with the passion of a courtroom closing argument.

Beyond the racing and rides, Roadkill Nights continues to stand out because it feels less like a traditional auto event and more like a block party with launch control. It’s loud, fast, proudly excessive, and deeply tied to the car culture that made Woodward Avenue famous in the first place.

With Roadkill Nights Back for 11th Year, Dodge and MotorTrend are keeping the tradition alive while adding fresh fan experiences for 2026. Whether you’re there for the drag racing, the drift rides, the show cars, the celebrity sightings, or simply the glorious smell of tires surrendering to physics, this year’s event is shaping up to be one of the summer’s must-attend automotive blowouts.

Pontiac, Woodward, Dodge muscle, and a full day of horsepower-fueled chaos? That’s not just an event. That’s Motor City love language.
