Dodge is set to launch the Roadkill Nights weekend with the highly anticipated public unveiling of a new muscle car

MotorTrend is gearing up for another #RoadkillNights Powered by #Dodge. As it celebrates its 10th anniversary, this thrilling event promises an array of exciting activities and experiences for fans. Set to take place on August 9, the celebration will transform Woodward Avenue in Pontiac, Michigan, into a hub for street-legal drag racing, showcasing the power and passion of automotive enthusiasts.
Dodge will unveil its latest muscle car during a media preview event on Friday, August 8, kicking off the Roadkill Nights weekend. Fans of the brand can tune in to the excitement by watching the Livestream on YouTube.com/Dodge, starting at 11 a.m. ET.
Dodge Badassadors will make their first appearance at Roadkill Nights, where they will showcase their enthusiasm for the brand and engage with fellow fans. This program aims to recruit passionate individuals to represent Dodge at various events, such as auto shows, gatherings of Dodge enthusiasts, and NHRA drag races, further promoting the spirit of America’s performance brand.
Racing icon and Dodge NHRA Top Fuel driver Tony Stewart will be part of the excitement at Roadkill Nights. The owner of Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) will be available to meet fans and sign autographs alongside his wife, NHRA star Leah Pruett, TSR driver and four-time NHRA champion Matt Hagan, and NHRA racer Ida Zetterstrom. This fan engagement will take place at the Direct Connection rig on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET.

Join us for street-legal drag racing on the iconic Woodward Avenue, where competitors can vie for cash prizes in both Big Tire and Small Tire classes. Fans will enjoy a walkable pit area that brings them closer to the action, allowing for personal interactions with racers and a chance to admire their impressive drag cars. The Direct Connection Grudge Race returns for its fifth year, showcasing online automotive builders as they compete using engines and parts from Direct Connection.
Witness NHRA stars like Hagan and Pruett perform breathtaking burnouts in 12,000-horsepower drag cars, while the Dodge vehicle display highlights the latest Charger models. The Ram display will feature the Ram 1500 NASCAR concept, the Raminator Monster Truck, and the Bucking HEMI® Experience, along with special builds making their debut on the strip. Music fans can look forward to a unique rendition of the national anthem by Mopar enthusiast and renowned blues rock guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd, alongside celebrity appearances from automotive personalities such as David Freiburger, Mike Finnegan, and Cristy Lee.
