MotorTrend's Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge is Back for 2024

Roadkill Nights is back for its ninth year, bringing legal drag racing to Woodward Avenue once again

Dodge and MotorTrend are revving up for the ninth round of their horsepower extravaganza. MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge, where drag racing on Woodward Avenue is hotter than a jalapeño in the summer sun, you won't want to miss the epic showdown between online car builders in this year's Direct Connection Grudge Race.

Witness some of America’s fastest street-legal cars on Woodward Avenue with mix of old-school and new muscle cars, thrilling Dodge rides, impressive Dodge displays, appearances by the Roadkill crew, a vendor area, and much more.

Matt McAlear, Dodge brand CEO stated “For nearly a decade Roadkill Nights has brought horsepower enthusiasts together for a celebration of performance like none other, and the 2024 event will add to the legacy of Dodge and MotorTrend’s horsepower circus. In addition to drag racing and the Direct Connection Grudge Race, we have surprises in store this year that are sure to send a charge through all Roadkill Nights attendees.”

Once again, the Direct Connection Grudge Race takes the spotlight at Roadkill Nights for the fourth year running. Watch online as car gurus talk the talk on social media before facing off on Woodward Avenue.

The six racers just got their mitts on Direct Connection HurriCrate engines, which are the beefed-up version of the 3.0L Hurricane Twin Turbo engine. They're gonna slap these babies into their cars then spend some quality time fine-tuning their rides. Direct Connection is the ultimate source for Dodge performance parts, and they're all about hooking racers up with top-of-the-line gear through the Dodge Power Brokers dealer network.

Let's meet the Direct Connection Grudge Race Competitors

Westen Champlin

The self-proclaimed 'sexiest Redneck Scientist in Kansas' and a real horsepower guru, Champline showed off his stuff in the 2021-2022 Direct Connection Grudge Race giving Dodge fans a show they won't forget with his wild (and sometimes ridiculous) antics and high-octane energy.

Morgan Evans

Evans, owner of Morgan's Metals out of Cocoa, Florida, is a fresh face in the Grudge Race scene, gaining fame from her family racing background and on social media for her knack for building anything with four wheels. She's recently launched her YouTube channel, "Torque N Tungsten," featuring her metal artwork and insane builds.

Herman Young

Young, creator of the Demonology YouTube channel, and a battle-tested contender in the tournament, is an enthusiastic part of the Dodge Brotherhood of Muscle striving for his maiden win after falling short in the 2022-2023 Direct Connection Grudge Race.

Allison Kovalik

Kovalik, a builder, racing, and gearhead influencer may be a fresh face at the Direct Connection Grudge Race, but she's no amateur in Roadkill Nights or whipping up killer drag cars. Alongside her dad, she's been tinkering with vehicles since she was knee-high to a grasshopper, and today you'll find her burning rubber in her 1967 Dart.

Tom Bailey

Bailey, the mastermind behind the "Sick" media franchise, five-time winner of Hot Rod Drag Week, and World record holder for a street-legal car in the quarter with a 5.77 ET, is back in action at the 2024 Direct Connection Grudge Race. This time, Bailey's going solo after a year of mentoring in 2023. To top it off, Baileys throwing a burnout contest the day before the Roadkill Nights event.

Garrett Reed

Auto influencer, custom ride builder, and creator of the popular American Muscle HD social channels, Reed, a hard-core Dodge fanatic, is hella-hyped to make his Grudge Race debut.

All participants will be connected with a Dodge Power Brokers dealer to help with their construction projects and get exclusive access to the Direct Connection Tech hotline for support. For more information on Direct Connection and Dodge Power Brokers visit DCPerformance.com.
