A compact truck transformed into a potential street performance icon

Ford Performance is turning up the heat on the compact truck segment with the debut of the Ford Maverick 300T Project Vehicle at #SEMA 2025. Born from customer feedback and countless hours spent on enthusiast forums, this build represents the ultimate blueprint for Maverick owners who want more power, sharper handling, and bold styling.
The Maverick community has been asking for performance upgrades, and Ford listened. The result is a truck that blends practicality with serious street performance, proving that Maverick is more than a compact hauler — it is a platform for enthusiasts.
Mustang Heart Meets Maverick Soul
At the core of the Maverick 300T is a turbocharged transformation inspired by the Mustang EcoBoost. The project swaps in a 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharger featuring a larger 59mm compressor wheel, up from the stock 53mm, paired with a Mishimoto intercooler that is nearly 59 percent larger than stock. This upgrade delivers a 39.6 percent improvement in temperature reduction, and a 20.1 percent drop in pressure compared to the factory setup.
The result? An estimated 300 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque — a jump of 50 horsepower and 40 lb-ft over stock. ProCal 4 tuning optimizes performance, while a Borla exhaust system ensures the turbo breathes freely and sounds as aggressive as it feels. Designed to be CARB certified and 50-state legal, this package is engineered for enthusiasts who want factory-backed reliability with next-level performance.
Performance Beyond the Engine Bay
Ford did not stop at horsepower. The Maverick 300T is a complete performance package. It rides on 20-inch wheels wrapped in high-performance tires, with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S showcased on the SEMA truck for added flair.
Suspension upgrades include performance-tuned lowering springs that drop the front by 10mm and the rear by 30mm, lowering the center of gravity for improved handling.
Monotube rear dampers and a beefed-up stabilizer bar increase compression and rebound damping, delivering sharper control whether the truck is loaded or running light. This is not just a fast truck; it is a truck that is genuinely fun to drive.
Style That Turns Heads
The Maverick 300T looks as good as it performs. Two signature color schemes, Black and Bronze, feature unique 300T graphics, Ford Performance badging, and black chrome lug nuts. The Bronze package adds bold bronze Maverick lettering across the tailgate for a striking finish. Inside, custom floor mats carry the Ford Performance logo, reinforcing the truck’s premium feel.
Built for the Community
This project is a tribute to Maverick owners who have transformed their trucks into personal statements. Ford Performance plans to make a version of the 300T kit available in 2026 for Maverick XL, XLT, and Lariat models equipped with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine and all-wheel drive. For optimal performance, Ford recommends pairing the kit with the 4K tow package for added cooling.
