Cadillac Racing Introduces Impressive Array of V-Series.R Liveries for 2025
Cadillac Racing is primed to take to the circuit with its V-Series.R Grand Touring Prototype and Hypercar race machines

The V-Series.R marks a groundbreaking moment for Cadillac as it becomes the brand's inaugural prototype race car equipped with a hybrid powertrain. This innovative vehicle is gearing up for its third consecutive year in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC).
For the 2025 IMSA season, Cadillac Racing is set to showcase three formidable entries: the No. 10 and No. 40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.Rs, alongside the well-known No. 31 Cadillac Whelen V-Series.R. The esteemed Wayne Taylor Racing is making a thrilling comeback to the Cadillac Racing family after successfully campaigning the previous-generation Cadillac DPi-V.R from 2017 to 2020, during which they clinched three Rolex 24 At Daytona titles (2017, 2019, 2020), two Petit Le Mans victories (2018, 2020), and a win at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring (2017).
The No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R, managed by Action Express Racing, has been a cornerstone of Cadillac Racing since it first hit the track with the DPi-V.R in the 2017 IMSA season. Over the years, the No. 31 has secured the IMSA Driver and Team championships in 2018, 2021, and 2023, along with triumphs at the Rolex 24 At Daytona (2018) and the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring (2023).
All three race cars made their 2025 debut this week, thrilling fans ahead of the annual Roar Before the 24. This final pre-season test, scheduled for January 17-19, serves as a lead-up to the prestigious Rolex 24 At Daytona, one of the most revered endurance racing events globally.
The No. 31 sports its iconic Whelen red livery, now featuring new elements of the classic multi-color Cadillac V-badge pattern on its front fenders. Meanwhile, the No. 10 and No. 40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.Rs showcase a fresh chrome finish, also incorporating the recognizable Cadillac V-badge pattern.
Cadillac Racing is expanding its presence in the FIA WEC series with two V-Series.Rs for the 2025 season. The championship-winning Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA has recently unveiled its eye-catching gold Cadillac V-Series.Rs, which are set to make their debut at the Qatar 1812km on February 28.
Racing serves as a dynamic platform for Cadillac to bridge the gap between its race cars and consumer vehicles, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and technology. This competitive arena enables Cadillac to go head-to-head with premier luxury and performance car manufacturers globally, while also highlighting the brand's cutting-edge technology and engineering prowess.
The Cadillac V-Series.R race car is a collaborative effort between Cadillac Design, Cadillac Racing, and the renowned chassis builder Dallara. It boasts a specially designed Cadillac 5.5-liter dual-overhead-cam V8 engine and marks the third generation of Cadillac's prototype race cars, tracing its roots back to the Cadillac Northstar LMP, which made its debut in 2000.
