Chevrolet Possibly Prepping Colorado Based Raptor Fighter

Ford has irrefutably owned the off-road truck scene since the Raptors debut in 2010. Since then, many manufactures have talked-the-talk about taking on the all-mighty Raptor with one of their own factory built creations – however other than the new TRD Pro Tundra from Toyota, no one has actually walked-the-walk essentially leaving Fords Jurassic truck virtually uncontested.

In a story from Motor Authority, Chevrolet could be prepping a so called ‘Raptor Fighter’ surprisingly based off the Colorado opposed to the what most would assume seem fitting for the Silverado to task. If the folks at GM Authority are correct, the rendering of the Colorado Rally Concept leads us to believe a light-weight, off-road capable Colorado is certainly on someone’s mind, however the concept actually seeing the light of day and drawing down on the Raptor seems an ambitious mission to say the least.

If the Colorado Rally Concept does eventually make it to production we see it as more of a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon X competitor rather than true Raptor fighter.
