NEWS: Cadillac Reveals CTS-V Coupe Special Edition

With the introduction of the new Cadillac CTS and ATS, many are anxiously waiting for their V models to come out. To hold us over while we wait for those cars, Cadillac will produce 500 2015 Cadillac CTS-V coupes using the outgoing body style marking the final chapter for the current generation before the V-Series moves on to an entirely new generation next year.

The special edition will have the same 6.2 liter engine as the standard CTS-V mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic sending power only to the rear wheels.

So what is different about the special edition? First, they have restricted the paint colors to their Crystal white, Phantom Grey and Black Diamond. There is also dark mesh grill, satin black wheels, and red brake calipers. The interior gets Ebony Leather surfaces with red stitching, Recaro seats, wood trim pieces, a suede steering wheel and shift lever, and metal pedals. The price of the special edition will be $72,195 versus the regular cars $63,900 starting price.

Cadillac is currently testing the new CTS-V and ATS-V prototypes and there are rumors they may produce a XTS-V.

Rumors say the new CTS-V could get the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06’s 6.2 Liter supercharged V8 producing 625 hp. The ATS-V is rumored to get the twin turbo V6 from the CTS Vsport, producing 420hp however more rumors are circulating that the ATS-V could get power closer to 500 hp to better compete with the M3.
