AUCTIONS: Barrett-Jackson to Sell First Production 2015 Corvette Z06

It’s been all of two months since the world was introduced to “the most track-capable Corvette ever” at the Detroit Auto Show, right here in our backyard. It’s probably a safe assumption that the 2015 Corvette ZO6 met the majority of Corvette enthusiast’s expectations and perhaps even exceeded a few.

Today the world famous Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction announced dibs on the very first copy of the 2015 Corvette Z06 to roll off the assembly line, literally VIN 001, will be up for grabs at this year’s Palm Beach auction in April.

If you’re a Barrett-Jackson follower than you are most likely familiar with the first C7 Stingray that rolled across the block last year, fetching a ridiculous $1.1M, or maybe the first 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible that brought the hammer down at $600K.

The good news in bringing in those outrageous sums of cash is that GM will donate the proceeds from the 2015 ZO6 sale to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center Institute here in Detroit. Since this is a charity sale, Barrett-Jackson will also waive all buyer and seller fees.
